Puma Women & Girls Section

Supporting girls football since 2012.

Our girl’s section was re-established in 2012, and we entered our first team in the Surrey County Womens & Girls League in the 2012/13 season.  In June 2014 our Under 11 team won the Brockham Tournament.  In May 2015 we hosted our first end of season celebration of the Puma Girls section, which was supported by Crystal Palace Ladies FC, and this has now become an annual event.

In our brief history we have had girls play for Surrey County in their player development centre, and this season we had 4 girls selected for the Surrey schools squads at Under 14 and Under 16, as well as a couple of girls training with the Chelsea development centre at Cobham.  In the 2016/17 season we have had 5 teams playing in the SCWGL at Under 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 age groups, an achievement we are very proud of coming from our humble beginnings.

For the past 3 years we have provided the coaching for the Tandridge representative team (Under 8 & 11) in preparation for the Surrey Youth Games, introducing the game to new players.  We have also linked up with Crystal Palace FC Foundation to provide training/sample sessions for our mums, which has led to one of our mums becoming a coach with our Under 13 team, achieving her Level 1 coaching award.

We are proud to provide regular fun and fitness through football for over 60 women in the local area.
